ESGE Mentoring Programme - Mentee Application

This is a one-year supporting programme directed to GI endoscopists who would like to receive mentorship in their professional career development and/or research and academic development.
The programme aims to trigger diversity in our community and will seek to help specially the endoscopists who have had difficulties in findings mentors and/or role models in their close community and/or encounter difficulties related to their personal and/or economic or social conditions.

After meeting each other at ESGE Days 2025 or online, the mentor and the mentee will write an agreement where they will state the (realistic) goals they want to achieve during the year. They will then establish their plan and will follow up with online periodical interviews. At the end of the programme (ESGE Days 2026), the mentor and mentee will write a short report summarizing their experience and will respond to a short survey.

By entering in the programme, the mentee commits him/herself to have follow up interviews with the mentor at least one time every 2 months (6 per year) and to write the final report and answer to the survey.

Final report and survey are a prerequisite for receiving an ESGE official recommendation from your mentor at the end of the programme.
This programme is not an advanced endoscopy training and does not aim to improve or further the endoscopic skills. However, mentorship may provide exactly the support necessary to foster your career.
