ESGE Guideline Participation
call for experts

In 2025, five ESGE guidelines are scheduled for update. We are seeking individual ESGE members with relevant expertise to contribute to the update and authorship of one of the following topics:

  1. Bowel preparation for colonoscopy
  2. Endoscopic surveillance following colorectal cancer (CRC) resection or endoscopic polypectomy
  3. Endoscopic management of hereditary polyposis syndromes
  4. Endoscopic management of peptic ulcer bleeding
  5. Endoscopic management of gastrointestinal motility disorders – Part 1

If you are an expert in any of these fields and would like to contribute, we warmly encourage you to apply.

Author responsibilities and commitment applying:

  • Defining key clinical questions for the guideline
  • Performing a structured literature review on one or two assigned questions, including summarising evidence (meta-analysis where appropriate), interpreting data, and proposing recommendations
  • Participating in one or two virtual consensus meetings (each approximately 3–4 hours)
  • Contributing to the writing process
  • Inclusion as a co-author on the published guideline
  • Estimated time commitment: 20–40 hours in total
